Speedtest / Big Apps

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 18, 2026

This policy explains how the Speedtest iOS app by Big Apps handles information. You can use the app without creating an account or giving us your name, email address, or phone number.

1. What stays on your device

Speedtest saves the date and download and upload speeds of completed tests in History on your device. It keeps up to 200 results. The app also saves your appearance preference on your device. Big Apps does not receive or upload this saved History.

You can delete a result or clear all results in History. Removing the app also removes its locally stored data, subject to your device backup settings.

2. What Big Apps collects

The current app has no account system, advertising, analytics SDK, or Big Apps server that receives your test results. Big Apps does not collect your contact details, location, or locally saved History through the app. The app does not use cookies or track you across apps or websites.

3. Tests powered by Measurement Lab

When you start a live test, Speedtest uses Measurement Lab (M‑Lab) to find a nearby test server and measure download and upload speed with NDT7. Your device connects directly to M‑Lab. To run the test, M‑Lab receives your public IP address, the test date and time, connection and performance measurements, and potentially technical details such as the app or operating system used.

M‑Lab says it retains test data indefinitely and publishes it publicly, including the public IP address and test date and time. M‑Lab handles this data under its own policy. Big Apps does not control M‑Lab's collection or public dataset.

Read M‑Lab's Privacy Policy ↗

4. Your choices and requests

You can use the app without starting a test. If you do start one, deleting its result from local History does not remove data already collected or published by M‑Lab. For requests about M‑Lab test data, see M‑Lab's Privacy Policy or contact privacy@measurementlab.net.

5. This website and external links

This policy primarily covers the Speedtest iOS app. When you visit bigapss.click, its hosting provider may process standard technical request data, such as your IP address and browser information, to deliver the page. The site does not include analytics or advertising trackers. External sites, including M‑Lab's, have their own privacy practices.

6. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app changes. The date above will show when we last updated it. For questions about Speedtest or this policy, email Big Apps at info@bigapps.link.
