These terms apply to the Speedtest iOS app provided by Big Apps. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
1. Using Speedtest
Speedtest estimates the download and upload speeds of your current internet connection. Run a test only on a network you are permitted to use, and do not use the app to disrupt a network or measurement service.
A live test transfers data over your connection. Your internet or mobile provider may apply data limits or charges. You are responsible for those charges.
2. Measurement Lab service
Live tests use Measurement Lab (M‑Lab), an independent third-party service. The app uses M‑Lab's server discovery service and NDT7 measurement test. M‑Lab receives test and connection data, including your public IP address, and says it retains and publishes test data indefinitely. Review our Privacy Policy and M‑Lab's Privacy Policy ↗ before starting a test.
M‑Lab's servers and service availability are outside Big Apps' control. Your use of the measurement service must also comply with M‑Lab's Acceptable Use Policy ↗.
3. Results and availability
Results are estimates from a particular time and server. They can change with Wi‑Fi conditions, device performance, network congestion, routing, and your provider. A result is not a guarantee of your provider's service level. The app and M‑Lab service may sometimes be unavailable or produce an incomplete test.
4. App rights
Big Apps gives you permission to use the app on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the rules of the store where you obtained it. The app's design, name, and code remain the property of their respective owners. Do not copy or distribute the app in a way that infringes those rights.
